Hey, my name’s Merrick Bourgeois. I am from small town Covington, Louisiana born and raised. I went to SSA for highschool and then attended college at LSU (Geaux Tigers). I enjoy anything that has to do with the outdoors or friends so when I’m not at Lion’s Den you can find me working at Covey Rise Lodge out in Husser, Louisiana. I just recently started my journey at Lion’s Den Salon for Men and cannot wait to see what is in store for me there.

Hey, my name is Taylor Bahlinger. My dog, Oliver, and I live in Downtown, Covington close enough that we get to walk to work together. I bought Lions’ Den in May of 2019 and have since been blessed enough to grow and mature it into my own haven. Since being licensed as a Master Barber, I have been able to create a space where gentlemen can come in and relax in a classic, traditional barbershop. The clientele and my team are my rock to this business. I am extremely fortunate to say “I love my job so much that I never feel like I’m working a day in my life.”

I recently graduated from Aveda and my drive has led me to barbering! Creating connections with people is just as important to me as making sure you love your cut. My name is Karina and I am originally from Colombia, but have been living on the Northshore since 2015. I received my training in Texas and have been practicing in the barber industry since 2009. Over the past 13 years, I have fallen in love with the various forms of barbering and truly love not only the challenge of the art behind barbering, but the instant gratification you, as the client receive. I love being involved in volunteer work within the community and am looking forward to my new adventure and future at the Lions’ Den!
